Today AAP lost a prominent elections in Delhi, the MCD elections results are out and BJP make 182 seats out of 270. Till now, results for 270 seats are out. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headed by Arvind Kejriwal again blamed the voting machines for its party loss. And he described their alleged manipulation as "a bitter truth" being used to "dictate democracy."
When BJP had a landslide triumph in Assembly elections 2017, many opponent parties claimed that EVM (electronic voting machines) are inflated and the results are not true. And Arvind Kejriwal was the one who also took the case that there held a probing for the EVMs.
Alka Lamba, a legislator, said that "EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) are not a problem in my area. We will support those elected by the people," she said, adding, "I know what the ground reality was and where we did faults, I take complete onus."
After this the Commission has repeatedly said that the machines cannot be manipulated and says that next month, it will hold a 10-day hackathon to prove its point. Mr Kejriwal, an IIT graduate, has said if he is given 24 hours with one of the machines, he will be able to demonstrate its defects and prove his point.
