Anil Dave the Environment Minister has died at the age of 60.
As Advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee has directed that Harsh Vardhan, Cabinet Minister shall be assigned the charge of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in addition to his exiting portfolios, a press release issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan was on Thursday given additional charge of Environment Ministry, due to sudden demise of Anil Madhav Dave.
Narendra Modi the Prime Minister has also tweeted about the death of Anil Dave in which he said, "Absolutely shocked" and described Anil Dave's death as a "personal loss". Narendra Modi tweeted,
Anil Dave was a Member of Parliament, representing from Madhya Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha since 2009. Anil Dave was member of many committee which includes the Water Resources and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Anil Dave was even a member of the Parliamentary Forum on Global Warming and Climate Change from 2010 March to June 2010.
As a Minister of State Anil Dave was appointed, independent charge of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Government of Modi’s cabinet expansion on 5th July 2016.
Anil Dave had an association from long time with RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), last year he was appointed as Environment Minister.
He is now no more with us.
