Akshay Kumar Won The First National Award And Sonam’s Special Mention

In New Delhi, today The National Film Awards were announced in which Akshay Kumar won the National Award for the first time as a Best Actor for the movie in which he played the character of Naval Officer and accused of murdering his wife’s lover ‘Rustom’. Rustom released to middling reviews last year but Akshay Kumar’s performance was singled out for critical praise.

Then, The National Award for the Best Hindi Film is owned by ‘Neerja’ in which actress Sonam Kapoor received the special name as she was the lead in the movie.

Dangal’s Zaira Wasim wont the Best Supporting Actress, Actor Adil Hussain won the special mention for his movie which is released today i.e. Muktii Bhawan. Shivaay won the award for Best special Effect which starrer Ajay Devgan.

The Best Film on Social Issues was received by Pink which starrer Amitabh Bachchan.

Best Bengali Movie is won by Bisarjan

Best Marathi film is received by Dashakriya

Best Kannada Film is received by Reservation.
