Akshay Kumar To Play Gulshan Kumar In His Biopic “Mogul”

Gulshan Kumar’s rags-to-riches life story was larger than life. He was an extremely talented singer and composer. His devotion to Mata Rani led him to great success. He created a whole new industry that didn’t exist before he formed his own company T-series into a leading music empire in the country. Thus, it comes as no surprise that his life story is being made into a Bollywood movie titled “Mogul” which is going to release next year.

Akshay said, “ I had the good fortune of knowing Gulshanji well and had a close association with his right from my first film, Saugandh. We both share many things in common and came from a similar background. I am very excited to play him on screen”.

Gulshan kumar’s son Bhusan Kumar added, “Mogul is not a film to me, it’s my dream come true. My father has been a guiding force all through my life and I have always felt his presence in every thing I do. I always knew that one I will make Mogul and share my father’s amazing story to the world. I am also happy that my mother  Sudesh Kumari is producing the film. I think of no one better than Akshay to play him on screen.”

Subhash Kapoor said, “When Vikram Malhotra shared the idea of the film with me, it was a feeling of disbelief. I always told my team that one story I would love to make a movie on Gulshanji and here I am doing just that”.

Now a day’s Akshay Kumar is doing movie faster than the 4G speed. “Jolly LLB” was released last month, “Toilet: EK Prem Katha” already been wrap-up, his upcoming movie directed by Neeraj Pandey “Crack” is also releasing this Independence. And now he has been roped in to play the Emperor of Music legendry Mr. Gulshan Kumar in his biopic titled “Mogul”.

Gulshan Kumar was extremely attached to his younger daughter Tulsi Kumar and thus, this has been announced on her birthday 15thmarch, 2017. The shooting of Mogul will begin by the end of 2017 and will be released in 2018.
