Rajya Sabha Telecast Stopped As Opposition Heckled Amit Shah
New Delhi: As the opposition heckled Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajya Sabha briefly stopped telecast during the discussion on the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill today.
When Home Minister Amit Shah was introducing the controversial bill that seeks to enable non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to become Indian citizens.

Ripun Bora of the Congress protested against the statement, and several opposition members aimed Amit Shah on his comment on the government protecting the interests of the Assamese.
Mr Naidu warned the oppostions against interrupting the debate and claimed that he would name the disputors, which means the member has to leave the debate on CAB for the day.
Just after that, Rajya Sabha TV stopped its live broadcast.

The telecast usually stops when the Rajya Sabha chairperson presses a button to flash a red light, said sources.
The telecast resumed soon and the house in complete order, when only Amit Shah was speaking.
