Goalless Match, As Juventus Put Barcelona Out

Massimiliano Allegri side Juventus produced an exceptional defensive performance to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after stopping Barcelona from netting at the Nou Camp.

Trailing 3-0 from the first leg, the Luis Enrique side peppered the Italian goal but failed to repeat their last-16 heroics when they reversed a first-leg 4-0 deficit to beat France champion Paris St-Germain.

Argentine star Lionel Messi, who had earlier been denied by goal-keeper Gianluigi Buffon, fired wastefully over the bar while strikers Luis Suarez and Neymar also spurned chances on a night the home side were restricted to one shot on target.

Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain fired tamely at Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and midfielder Juan Cuadrado missed another chance but the final whistle was celebrated wildly by the champions of Italy, who have not conceded a  goal from open play in this season's UEFA Champions League.
