Rajasthan Royals And Chennai Super Kings Set To Welcome In IPL By BCCI

The BCCI [Board of Control for Cricket in India] is all set to welcome the most historic teams in the IPL [Indian Premier League] back into the league. The two franchises, CSK [Chennai Super Kings] and RR [Rajasthan Royals] will be welcomed back on the same day the BCCI discharges the ‘Invitation To Tender’ IIT for media rights regarding the 2017 edition of the IPL.

Being the oldest teams, they are expected to have a dignified initiation.

The two-time IPL title holder, Chennai Super Kings and the season 1 champion, Rajasthan Royals were suspended for two years by the Supreme Court [SC]. The two teams missed the tournament for two years (2016 and 2017) because of their involvement in a spot-fixing scandal
