IPL 2017: Sanju Samson’s Century Scripts Gigantic Delhi Victory Over Pune

The young talented batsman Sanju Samson’s first-ever IPL (Indian Premier League] ton created the foundation of Delhi Daredevils' massive score of 205/4 was just too much for RPS [Rising Pune Supergiant], who surrendered delicately to lose by a mammoth margin of 97 runs to had Delhi their first victory of IPL 10. Chasing the big score, Pune had no answer for Daredevils captain Zaheer Khan’s medium-pace and spinner Amit Mishra's leg-spin as they folded for 108 in 16.1 overs.

The former Sunrises Hyderabad [Mishra] returned fine figures of 3\11 while Zaheer's took 3\20 . Not even one of the Pune batsmen managed to cross 20 runs.

Pune also sorely missed Steve Smith, who was replaced by Faf du Plessis for the game.

Delhi’s  innings began extremely shakily, as they lost batsman Aditya Tare early. But English batsman Sam Billings and Samson then put up 69 runs for the second wicket as they began to clamber back into the match.

Sanju Samson’s played very brilliantly in his 102 runs innings, he hit five sixes and . eight boundaries. He kept raising the thrust and what looked like an average score soon began to race towards the 200-mark.

But even then, Pune were not ready for what struck them at the end of the inning. After Samson and Rishabh Pant had put together 53 runs Daredevils were still only at 124.
