Indian Premier League [IPL] 2017 has been influenced by injury to star players and KKR hard-hitting batsman Chris Lynn became the current to join that list as he injured his right shoulder in the match between MI [Mumbai Indians] and KKR [Kolkata Knight Riders] at the epic Wankhede Stadium. Trying to take a catch, the Brisbane Heat batsman hurt his shoulder and was instantly taken off the field.
In the fourth over of Mumbai Indians ininngs, the host opener Jos Buttler tried to clobber seamer Chris Woakes over mid-off but Lynn didn’t get all of it and it spooned up in the air and was heading towards the boundary line. The former Sunrises Hyderabad batsman, who was fielding at mid-off followed the ball right to the boundary line and put in a big dive but he ended up injuring himself.
The former Jamaica Tallawahs batsman has been in great form for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL season-10. After being promoted to the opener’s slot in their opening match versus Gujarat Lions, Chris Lynn scored a stunning 41-ball 93, which included eight huge sixes and six fours. The 26-years-old put on an unbeaten 184-run partnership with skipper Gautam Gambhir as Kolkata chased down the total with 31 balls to remain.
